In July of 2003 I purchased Longman's TM One Fine Lady 8*M (pedigree).
I
sadly was only able to get a one baby from her before she had to be put
down. In the summer of 2004 she broke her right front humerus, and
after much time and decision due to her age, I had the leg amputated as
she seemed to be such a fighter to live. Alsough she got around o.k.
after surgery, she never did learn to walk three legged-she always hoppped,
putting lots of pressure on the remaining front knee. She went down
with a swollen knee right after some very cold weather here and although
she was eating and seemed not in undue misery, I had her put down as the
remaining lower leg muscles were starting to contract and it appeared she
would never get up again. She had a sweet and loving disposition
and kissed me right before we put her down.
I did retain her doeling from last year-Beaver-Dam Jammin Marla, an
May a.i kid . from Cream-Of-Kansas'
