Drake's Spruzzo Caffee, known as Fey (LA 80 ++++ in 2000) (my three legged wonder pictured here for all to see), is a great-granddaughter of GCH ++*B Sidney Chinsucker, which shows in her coloring as well. Fey's dam was Bell-Haven Images Isabell, out of ++*B Musk Rose Sidney's Sampson, with Fey's sire *B Starfire's SA Prometheus, from the dam GCH 5*M Starfire's WFBC Pheona. An accident at about 4 months (hung a leg in a tree for four days and couldn't be found) has rendered her three legged and the trauma has made her a little small (especially as compared to her tank of a dam!). She has always had single kids, which for her I am grateful, as her weight placement tended to make the front hoof very unusual.
During the 2004-2005 year her spine and hips began to rotate to an extreme
degree, with a very elevated shoulder blade. After she kidded with
a BEAUTIFUL black spotted doeling (named Farina) in March (sire Buckwheat
and grandsire Patron), I made the decision to have her put down.
When she used to run and not be last, she was taking only a couple of steps
at a time, and I am convinced with all the spinal rotation at least had
arthritis and some chronic pain. She was an amazing spirited friend.
