Artificial Insemination:  During the last three years I have "played" with a.i., in part hoping to reduce my buck population to
a minimum.  At this time I am "down" to only three bucks (ONE a product of a.i.!!).

In October of 2009 I re-acquired Nelson from the lady I had sold him to as a baby.
Unfortunately, I had not expected to get him back so none of my does were bred to him this year.
I did have him collected after he got here, as I am thrilled with his height (taller than both dam and his sire)  and coloring.
So next year, he will get to sire some here.  And next year I will have him Linear Appraised.
His dam is Nevada (see my senior doe page for her pedigree) and his sire is Shadow (see information below on Shadow).

I lost Sasha's dam, Suki, a daughter of *B Foxwood Miracle Macho Man, a buck I had owned, about a month after kidding.
She had had a very difficult first pregnancy with toxemia and the carrying of quadruplets.  She would have appraised very well, in my
opinion, but it just was not to be.  Sasha has inherited his dam's coloring. Phoenix, a son of SG ++*B Warpaint Acres Superbuck and 3*M GCH Nu-Ara's Pandora  (Sidney Chinsucker's littermate sister) is a breeding I have tried a number of times...and glad to finally have a success!!
In 2009 he had 4 babies-all 4 spotted-2 bucks and 2 does.
